Rosie talks about prenatal and pregnancy fitness:
“I first encountered Lynne when I joined her “Running Delights” guided off-road adventures. I’ve never enjoyed running so much. Who knew that there was so much natural beauty to be discovered on my doorstep, and what better way to view it than from the top of Glossop’s hills. I felt such a sense of achievement after every run and noticed my fitness and general well-being rapidly improving.
I’ve now had Lynne as my personal trainer for a couple of years. I love the one-to-one training she provides in her kitted out training area. It’s private and totally tailored towards me. Lynne not only has a plan in place for each PT session, but also provides you with a realistic weekly plan for you to carry on with at home. On top of that she also helps you to set short-term and long-term targets, which can be anything from “fit into my old jeans” or “run for 1 hour without stopping” which are a great motivation and something to keep me going between sessions. It never gets boring – she keeps it different each week, sometimes even using the great outdoors as a training ground. As someone who is prone to laziness and comfort eating, Lynne is just what I needed with her regular communication and helpful advice – she keeps me on my toes and off the sofa!
I am now 7 months pregnant with my second child, and have been training with Lynne throughout my pregnancy. Prior to getting pregnant, I was in the best shape I had ever been in my life thanks to Lynne – my body was in the best shape for conceiving. Not only has she adapted my exercise plan as the pregnancy progresses, she has also provided me with a wealth of information on nutrition, the changes occurring in the body and how to adapt, developing a birthing plan etc. which has really helped me to stay mentally strong as well. I have felt very safe keeping up my fitness and strength in the good hands of Lynne, and I’ve really enjoyed my pregnancy this time round, with very little discomfort or complications. I’m really looking forwards to getting back into shape with Lynne’s postnatal training as well.
Lynne is a truly excellent personal trainer, and has become a good friend to me. I would also call her my mentor, with her incredibly vast knowledge of the human body. She keeps me happy, healthy, fit, strong, motivated and confident. With Lynne around I have very little excuse to be lazy – her enthusiasm really does rub off on you, which is exactly what I need (especially when you eat as much cake as I do!).”
