Hot Stone Massage

HOT STONE MASSAGE

We offer hot stone massage as a therapeutic and restorative treatment. We can also, where desired, incorporate hot stones into our soft tissue therapy and sports massage treatments to give you a deep, relaxing and effective treatment.

Fabulous hot stone massage by Global Therapies, good for the legs but great for the mind too. 6 months of stress just melts away in an hour. Sarah, Glossop

Hot Stone Massage Glossop Therapy

During the treatment hot stones are used to release muscular tension. The combination of heat from the stones and deep massage strokes helps to increase circulation and improve blood flow to your muscles. This helps with healing, calming the nervous system and reducing pain. Stones are also placed on the body to allow the heat to sink deep into you, encouraging muscles to soften and release tension in areas hands cannot access.

Because your body is relaxed and circulation is increased you will leave the treatment room feeling like a new person.

We always work within your comfort levels, so while we say “hot stones”, we never apply the stones if they are too hot for you – and we appreciate that everybody’s perception of temperature differs. As with all of our treatments, communication is maintained throughout and we listen and respond to how your body reacts; your comfort and safety is paramount.

“Hot Stones Heaven - You Have To Try It! The only way I can put it into words is its like having liquid heat melting over your body, a totally different feeling to regular massage, and it was when I tried to get up at the end that it truly hit me how relaxed my body was. The stones are so smooth its a different feeling to anything I’ve had therapy wise before. Lynne has a fantastic technique, the stones seem to work with her hands really well, mixed with her already fab massage skills, I can honestly say I experienced an hour of relaxation heaven, I came out almost catatonic. I was very chilled for the rest of the evening and reported having a great nights sleep too. So, I think it’s fair to say I’m a massive fan, trouble is now I face a monthly dilemma of which treatment to have, Hot Stones or Sports Massage? To everyone who is thinking of giving it a try, I’d definitely recommend you do.” Hannah G
